Detailed Intake Questionnaire

Deeper intake questions for stronger-fit freelance leads before discovery.

Detailed Intake Questionnaire

What this is: A deeper set of questions for stronger-fit leads so you can prepare for discovery calls with better context.

When to use it: Use this when a lead looks promising and you need better context before discovery, not for every new inquiry.

How this connects: Send this after the short inquiry form, store the answers in your lead tracker, and use them to prepare your discovery notes.

Questions

  1. What does your business do, and what is your role in it?
  2. What do you need help with right now?
  3. What problem are you trying to solve?
  4. What would a successful outcome look like?
  5. What have you already tried so far?
  6. What tools, systems, or platforms are involved today?
  7. Is there a specific deliverable, scope, or result you think you need?
  8. Are there any hard deadlines, launch dates, or timing constraints?
  9. Is there a budget range or investment range you are comfortable sharing?
  10. Who is involved in reviewing or approving the work?
  11. Are there any known constraints, blockers, or dependencies?
  12. Anything else I should know before a discovery call?

Usage notes

  • Do not require this for every lead; reserve it for higher-potential inquiries.
  • Use it when better context will materially improve the discovery call and your ability to scope.
  • Keep the actual form clean and easy to complete, ideally on one page.
  • Use the answers to prepare questions and notes in your tracker, not to replace the call.
